Hero-Mariah Carey
There's a hero
If you look inside your heart
You don't have to be afraid
Of what you are
There's an answer
If you reach into your soul
And the sorrow that you know
Will melt away

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

It's a long road
When you face the world alone
No one reaches out a hand
For you to hold
You can find love
If you search within yourself
And the emptiness you felt
Will disappear

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you

Lord knows
Dreams are hard to follow
But don't let anyone
Tear them away
Hold on
There will be tomorrow
In time
You'll find the way

And then a hero comes along
With the strength to carry on
And you cast your fears aside
And you know you can survive
So when you feel like hope is gone
Look inside you and be strong
And you'll finally see the truth
That a hero lies in you.

My dearest friends,
As most of you know my son will be leaving for Iraq on November 10th. He will be coming home next week to visit with us. All that I am asking is that you pray for him and his safe return home. Although a diffucult time in our lives we wish him the best and know in our hearts that he will return home. He is a strong young man with a lot of determination, and with that I have to keep the faith. You have ALL been super people to us. He will be greatly missed and oh so loved. Thank you all for such great support and please continue the e-mails, it'll make my days go faster. I would like to especailly thank my beautiful girls, without them I could not make it thru this. To all my people back home, I hope to see you all soon. May God Bless America and all of you!!
Georgia
A Very Proud Mom!

Dear Buddies,
We had a great weekend! My Soldier came down from New York before heading off to Iraq in a couple of weeks. It was so great to see him. He looks so strong and so good. Although the weekend seemed short, my family and I made the best of it. So many GOOD memories were made, so much laughter, so much joy and so many HUGS. He tried to spread himself out as much as he could, and for those of you that he didn't see, he sends his love. My family and I are in for a long hard ride, but I know that with the help of God and all the wonderful angels watching over him and all your prayers and support we WILL get through this. He is a very strong person and so full of anticipation. A REAL PATRIOT! We are hoping to put an article in the Socorro paper soon.  WE ARE INDEED PROUD PARENTS OF A SOLDIER! Please pray for his safe return home. To my beautiful girls, WE LOVE YOU WITH ALL OUR HEARTS! May God Bless each and everyone of you and have a great week!

Bobby and Georgia----PROUD PARENTS OF AN ARMY GUY!

To my brother...whom I love and admire more than words could ever say . I Love You David.

David,
I am so PROUD of you and ALL that you have accomplished.  Mijo, always know that UJ loves and cares about you and your family.
With everyone's Love and Prayers WE will get through this, knowing that your Service to God and Country will be tough and sometimes lonely, please know that in our hearts we are always with you.
Being far away from home is never easy, believe me the girls and I know, what we would give to share the memories of home, Socorro!  But it is the LOVE of the family back home that keeps us alive in their hearts and prayers, distance does not lessen the love we have for our families, but makes us stronger knowing we will see them one day.  Si Dios Quere, we will be home in December and the family reunion will honor your service.
I am glad I am able to share the love that I have for all our family via this website.  This will keep us strong through it all
Love you always Mijo,
Uncle Jerry and cousins, Andrea, Olivia, Julia        Hopewell, Virginia

MY tribute to my brother, the SOLDIER....

My Dearest Brother,
Where do I begin? There are NO words to describe how it felt having you here, this past week-end. To touch your face, Give you that LONG over due HUG, but most of all to tell you face to face "I LOVE YOU"! Nothing or nobody can ever take those memories from us! We indeed "LIVED FOR THE MOMENT"! My BUC Buddy came home! We watched our BUC'S whoop 'dem Cowboy's together! What a feeling! Unexplainable! If I didn't tell you before you left Soldier, Stay Strong, Keep the faith, Keep your head up and strut your stuff SILVA style! I feel honored as well as blessed to have you as my brother, protecting my freedom!
Thank You for all the wonderful gifts you and Lorisa gave to me, they mean more than you know! Because I know they came from the heart! There's not a day that goes by, that I don't worry about you. That's one of my many jobs as a sister, but to always Love you is  # 1! And you have that always!
Remember, I am your shadow, when you least expect it, I'm right there! We're BUC Buddies, and buddies stay TOGETHER! It takes a lot of courage and strength to do what you do and always know, you have 110% of my support, but then you've always had that!
I've been thinking a lot lately, back when we were kids and all the CRAZY things we did to each other, actually all the CRAZY things you did to us sisters and I laugh and cry at the same time, wishing we could turn back time, so we could stay young forever! AH que Dave, the one who could make you laugh when you've cried your eyes out, The one who turns your frown into a smile, by saying something witty or making a silly face! Telling you, "It will be ok, we still have each other"
Brother, If I ever made you mad at me or said anything to hurt your feelings, I am SORRY. I truly am. I never meant to make you feel that way. I guess that's one of the things that bothers me, trying to remember if I said I was sorry. So I'm saying it now, I'M SORRY..
TE AMO, SOLDIER!!!!    You'll have an open door when you get back!
And a HUGE,HUGE (( HUG ))!!
Good Luck on your journey, stay focused and we are ALL here if you need anything! May GOD keep my "BUC BUDDY" safe and bring him back home to New Mexico! Home is where the heart is!

Love your Sister,
